Overview

GRN-1201 is a cancer peptide vaccine developed to stimulate the immune system against tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). It consists of four HLA-A*02-restricted peptides derived from four distinct TAAs commonly expressed in melanoma and other cancers. The vaccine is designed to activate cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) that specifically target and kill cancer cells presenting these antigens. Clinical development focused on melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), both as monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors such as pembrolizumab. The developer, BrightPath Biotherapeutics, discontinued Phase 2 clinical trials in 2023 due to challenges including slow enrollment and evolving treatment standards[2][4][6][7].
