Overview

GRN1005 + trastuzumab is an experimental combination therapy consisting of GRN1005, a peptide-drug conjugate, and trastuzumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting HER2. GRN1005 is designed to deliver paclitaxel across the blood-brain barrier by targeting low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein-1 (LRP-1), allowing it to treat brain metastases. Trastuzumab is a HER2 inhibitor used as standard-of-care in HER2-positive breast cancer. The combination is investigated primarily for HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer patients with brain metastases, aiming to improve delivery and cytotoxic effects within the brain[1][3][4][6][7][8].
