Group A and Group C meningococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine (A群C群脑膜炎球菌多糖结合疫苗) is a bivalent vaccine designed to prevent invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A and C. Developed by companies such as Walvax Biotechnology (Beijing Watson Innovative Biotechnology), the vaccine consists of purified capsular polysaccharides from both serogroups, each covalently linked to a carrier protein (most commonly tetanus toxoid). This conjugation process is critical as it transforms the polysaccharides from T-cell independent antigens into T-cell dependent antigens, which significantly enhances immunogenicity in infants and young children and promotes the development of long-term immunological memory. In China, Walvax's formulation was approved in 2011 and is indicated for active immunization in children, typically starting from 3 months of age.
