Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GRT-R910 is a next-generation self-amplifying mRNA (samRNA) vaccine candidate developed by Gritstone bio for the prevention of COVID-19. As part of the CORAL program, it is designed to provide broad and durable immunity against SARS-CoV-2 variants by targeting both the viral spike protein and highly conserved T cell epitopes. The self-amplifying nature of the mRNA allows for lower dosing compared to traditional mRNA vaccines while potentially inducing a more robust and prolonged immune response. The program has received significant support from BARDA (Project NextGen), CEPI, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and utilizes lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery technology licensed from Genevant Sciences.
