Overview

GRT21750T is a small molecule therapeutic candidate developed by Grünenthal for the treatment of psoriasis. It acts as an inverse agonist of the RAR-related orphan receptor gamma t (RORγt), a key transcription factor that regulates the differentiation of Th17 cells and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. In preclinical studies involving human lesional psoriasis skin explants, GRT21750T demonstrated potent inhibitory effects on the spontaneous expression of IL-17A, IL-17F, and IL-22. By targeting the RORγt-Th17 axis, the compound aims to reduce the chronic inflammation characteristic of psoriatic lesions. While it has shown efficacy in ex vivo models, its clinical development has not been extensively reported in recent years, suggesting it may be in early-stage development or a research-stage asset.
