Overview

GRTE17630 is an experimental small molecule anti-inflammatory agent developed by Grünenthal in collaboration with Derphartox for the treatment of psoriasis. In preclinical studies using human lesional psoriasis skin explants, GRTE17630 demonstrated the ability to significantly reduce the spontaneous expression and secretion of key pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-17A (IL-17A), interleukin-22 (IL-22), and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ). By targeting the production of these mediators, which are central to the pathogenesis of psoriasis, GRTE17630 aims to suppress the inflammatory cascade and promote skin healing. The compound has been evaluated alongside other candidates like GRTR775 and GRT6015 in ex vivo dermatological models to assess its potential as a topical therapeutic for chronic plaque psoriasis.
