GRX1461 is an aptamer-based therapeutic candidate developed by Band Therapeutics (also known as Guardian Therapeutics) for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. It is designed to specifically target and bind to the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 3 (HER3), a member of the ErbB receptor tyrosine kinase family. HER3 signaling is frequently implicated in tumor progression and the development of resistance to other EGFR- or HER2-targeted therapies. By inhibiting HER3, GRX1461 aims to disrupt downstream oncogenic signaling pathways, such as the PI3K/Akt pathway, thereby suppressing tumor cell growth and survival. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
