Overview

GS-0272 is an investigational small molecule drug developed by Gilead Sciences. It acts as a blocker of the B and T lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA), a co-inhibitory receptor involved in immune regulation. By inhibiting BTLA, GS-0272 is designed to modulate immune responses, potentially reducing inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases. The drug is currently being evaluated for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, and pharmacodynamics in adult participants with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Phase 1 clinical trials. It was also previously under development for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)[1][4][7].
