GS-5305

GS-5305 is an investigational, orally bioavailable small molecule agonist of the CD200 receptor (CD200R), currently in Phase 1 clinical development by Gilead Sciences in collaboration with Medivir. CD200R is an inhibitory immune checkpoint receptor primarily expressed on myeloid cells, including macrophages, mast cells, and neutrophils. Activation of CD200R by GS-5305 mimics the action of its natural ligand, CD200, leading to the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokine production and the modulation of overactive immune responses. This mechanism makes GS-5305 a potential therapeutic option for various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases where immune homeostasis is disrupted.
