Overview

GS1-144 is an orally administered small molecule drug under development for the treatment of vasomotor symptoms, particularly in postmenopausal women. It acts as an antagonist of the neurokinin 3 receptor (NK-3R), a target implicated in the regulation of thermoregulation and vasomotor function. The drug is being developed by Changchun GeneScience Pharmaceutical (also referred to as Changchun Jinsai Pharmaceutical), a subsidiary of Changchun High-Tech Industry Group, with clinical trials currently ongoing in China and the USA. As of early 2025, GS1-144 has reached Phase II clinical trials for moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms in postmenopausal women[1][4][7].
