Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**GSK1070806 + dupilumab** is a combination of two monoclonal antibodies used in clinical research for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis, particularly in patients who have not responded adequately to prior therapies. GSK1070806 is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting and neutralizing interleukin-18 (IL-18), an important cytokine in the inflammatory pathway, thereby inhibiting IL-18–induced IFN-γ production. Dupilumab is a monoclonal antibody that blocks the shared receptor component for interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), thereby inhibiting signaling of these cytokines involved in type 2 inflammation. The combination is being explored primarily for potential benefit in atopic dermatitis, with GSK1070806 specifically under trial in patients inadequately responsive to dupilumab therapy.
