GSK2245035

GSK2245035 is a highly selective, investigational small molecule agonist of toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7), developed by GSK for the treatment of allergic airway diseases such as allergic asthma and allergic rhinitis. Administered intranasally, GSK2245035 preferentially stimulates type 1 interferon (IFN) production, aiming to reduce type 2 inflammatory responses to aeroallergens by rebalancing immune activity in the airways. Clinical studies have shown that weekly intranasal dosing can reduce allergic reactivity and modulate relevant biomarkers in subjects with mild asthma or respiratory allergies[4][6][8]. The drug has been evaluated up to Phase II clinical trials.
