GSK3277510A is an investigational inactivated monovalent influenza vaccine candidate developed by GSK Biologicals for the prevention of avian-origin influenza A (H7N9) virus infection. The vaccine contains viral surface antigens, specifically hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, derived from an H7N9 strain such as A/Shanghai/2/2013. It has been evaluated in early-phase clinical trials (including NCT01999842 and NCT02177734) to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults. In these studies, GSK3277510A was evaluated both as a standalone non-adjuvanted formulation and in combination with GSK's AS03 adjuvant system (an oil-in-water emulsion containing alpha-tocopherol and squalene) to enhance immune responses and facilitate antigen sparing. Clinical development of this specific candidate has since been discontinued.
