Overview

GSK3903133A is a self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) vaccine developed by GSK for the prevention of rabies. The vaccine encodes the rabies virus glycoprotein G antigen and is formulated with a cationic nanoemulsion (CNE). It acts as an immunostimulant to induce protective antibody responses against rabies. Preclinical studies demonstrated durable expression and robust immunogenicity in animal models, while a phase 1 clinical trial evaluated its safety and immunogenicity in healthy adults. This candidate represents one of the first saRNA vaccines to enter human trials for infectious disease prevention[1][2][5].
