GSK4106647 is an investigational, recombinant protein human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine candidate developed by GSK as an immunostimulatory prophylactic vaccine, intended to prevent HPV infection and related diseases, likely cervical and other anogenital cancers, by inducing neutralizing antibody responses against selected HPV types.[9][11] As an immunostimulant vaccine, it was designed to elicit robust humoral and cellular immune responses through presentation of HPV antigens formulated with a proprietary adjuvant system, similar in concept to GSK’s marketed HPV-16/18 AS04-adjuvanted vaccine Cervarix, although detailed antigen composition and adjuvant components for GSK4106647 have not been publicly disclosed.[9][11] The program reached early clinical development (up to phase 1/2) before GSK discontinued further development after internal assessment concluded that it would not achieve best-in-class potential versus existing and emerging HPV vaccines, and the candidate has not been approved in any market.[9][11]
