Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GSK4184258A is an investigational self-amplifying mRNA (samRNA) vaccine candidate against SARS-CoV-2 that encodes the viral spike (S) protein and is formulated in a lipid nanoparticle (CoV2 SAM LNP) for intramuscular delivery.[1][3][11] Initially developed by CureVac and later partnered with GSK, the candidate is designed to induce robust and durable humoral and cellular immunity by in situ amplification of the RNA, enabling strong antigen expression at lower doses than conventional mRNA vaccines, and has advanced to early clinical development for COVID-19 prophylaxis.[1][3][5][9][11][13]
