Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GT08 is an investigational non-antibiotic combination regimen developed by Synergy Pharmaceuticals for **Helicobacter pylori infection**. The exploratory Phase 1/2 program described GT08 as using lauric acid as the primary topical antimicrobial component, combined with omeprazole and the mucolytic agent n-acetylcysteine. The intended approach was to reduce gastric acidity with omeprazole and disrupt protective gastric mucus with n-acetylcysteine, enabling lauric acid to act against *H. pylori* in the stomach. The registered clinical study was terminated.
