Overview

GT316 is a next-generation tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy engineered using CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology. It is an autologous cell therapy product in which a patient's own TILs are isolated from their tumor, genetically modified to disrupt two key immunoregulatory targets identified via genome-wide CRISPR screening, and then expanded ex vivo. The edited TILs are designed to reduce exhaustion and enhance anti-tumor efficacy and persistence. Upon infusion back into the patient following nonmyeloablative lymphodepletion and IL-2 support, these cells specifically recognize and kill the patient's tumor cells. Preclinical studies have shown improved function with minimal toxicity compared to conventional TIL therapies. GT316 is being developed primarily for advanced solid tumors, especially gynecological cancers[2][3][5][6].
