GTB-5550 is a novel tri-specific killer engager (TriKE) recombinant fusion protein developed by GT Biopharma. It is designed to enhance natural killer (NK) cell-mediated cytotoxicity against solid tumors by simultaneously engaging three targets: CD16 on NK cells to activate them; tumor antigens such as PSMA or B7-H3 expressed on cancer cells for targeted binding; and an interleukin 15 (IL-15) moiety to stimulate NK cell proliferation and persistence. The drug aims to overcome the limitations of current immunotherapies in solid tumors by providing antigen-specific targeting and boosting NK cell function within the tumor microenvironment. Its primary indications are for multiple solid tumors including prostate, breast, head and neck, ovarian, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers[1][4][6].
