GTX-201 is a small molecule drug initially developed by Grace Therapeutics (formerly Acasti Pharma). It was investigated primarily for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, a chronic pain condition affecting the trigeminal nerve in the face. The mechanism of action for GTX-201 has not been publicly defined or disclosed. Development reached Phase 1 clinical trials for trigeminal neuralgia but was subsequently discontinued for this indication. As of late 2024, preclinical development continues for an undisclosed indication under Grace Therapeutics[1][2].
