Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gu Pi Sheng Ji Hua Zhuo Jie Du decoction is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine developed by the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of Crohn's disease. The formula is designed based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles to strengthen the spleen, promote tissue regeneration, resolve turbidity, and detoxify the body. It is currently being investigated in clinical trials as an induction therapy, often in combination with partial enteral nutrition (PEN), to achieve clinical remission and mucosal healing in patients with moderately active Crohn's disease. The decoction aims to address the underlying inflammatory processes and promote the repair of the intestinal barrier through a multi-component botanical approach.
