Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Guanxin Qiwei dropping pill (GXQW) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation composed of seven medicinal botanical ingredients, including Myristicae semen, Choerospondiatis fructus, Santali albi lignum, Codonopisis radix, Kaempferiae Rhizoma, and Dalbergiae odoriferae lignum. Developed and manufactured by Sichuan Kelun Pharmaceutical and its subsidiary Liaoning Minkang Pharmaceutical, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of stable angina pectoris due to coronary heart disease, particularly in patients presenting with TCM blood stasis syndrome. GXQW exerts its therapeutic effects by promoting blood circulation, resolving blood stasis, and alleviating pain. Preclinical studies suggest it may also improve atherosclerosis by modulating gut microbiota (such as reducing the abundance of *Dubosiella*) and regulating lipid metabolism and inflammatory pathways.
