Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Guanxin Suhe Capsules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) product developed and manufactured by Tianjin Hong Ren Tang Pharmaceutical. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of coronary heart disease and angina pectoris. The formulation is based on a classic aromatic TCM recipe designed to warm the heart, regulate qi, and alleviate pain. It typically consists of five key ingredients: Styrax (Suhexiang), Borneol (Bingpian), Sandalwood (Tanxiang), Dalbergia wood (Jiangxiang), and Frankincense (Ruxiang). Pharmacologically, the capsules act by dilating coronary arteries, increasing coronary blood flow, and reducing myocardial oxygen consumption. It also exhibits anti-platelet aggregation properties, which help prevent thrombus formation. Clinically, it is used to relieve chest pain and pressure associated with cold stagnation and qi obstruction in the chest.
