Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GUB09-145 is a long-acting, lipidated dual agonist of the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2) receptors. Developed by Gubra, GUB09-145 is designed to mimic the physiological benefits of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) surgery by combining the insulinotropic and appetite-suppressing effects of GLP-1 with the intestinotrophic (gut-proliferative) effects of GLP-2. In preclinical models of obesity and diabetes, GUB09-145 has demonstrated potent effects on reducing food intake, promoting weight loss, improving glucose tolerance, and increasing small intestinal volume and mucosal surface area.
