Overview
Gubenfuyuan granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by The Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for use during the recovery period of COVID-19 infection, targeting post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (commonly known as Long COVID). The formulation is intended to "strengthen the foundation" (Guben) and "restore vitality" (Fuyuan), addressing symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, and other lingering effects of the virus. It is currently being evaluated in multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials in China.
