Overview
Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula composed of five botanical ingredients: *Cinnamomum cassia* (Cassia twig), *Poria cocos* (Tuckahoe), *Paeonia suffruticosa* (Moutan bark), *Prunus persica* (Peach kernel), and *Paeonia lactiflora* (Red Peony root). It is primarily indicated for gynecological conditions associated with blood stasis, including uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and primary dysmenorrhea. The formula is hypothesized to exert therapeutic effects through the modulation of sex hormone signaling, inhibition of inflammatory cytokines, and suppression of smooth muscle cell proliferation. Luye Pharma has developed a standardized capsule version (GZFLC) that has undergone clinical trials in both China and the United States for the treatment of uterine fibroids.
