Overview
Guicaobaidu Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula used primarily to mitigate chemotherapy-induced myocardial injury, particularly doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity. Preclinical studies indicate that it exerts cardioprotective effects by upregulating the expression of TRDMT1 and modulating BNIP3-mediated mitophagy pathways, thereby improving mitochondrial function and reducing cardiac cell damage during chemotherapy. The decoction may also influence m5C RNA methylation processes related to myocardial protection[1][3][8]. Its mechanism involves modulation of cellular stress responses and enhancement of cardiac resilience during chemotherapeutic regimens.
