Guigui Zhuanggu is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Xiangshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanghai. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis and associated low back pain. The formulation is based on TCM theories of tonifying the kidney and strengthening the skeleton (补肾壮骨). It is typically administered orally in tablet form. Clinical evaluation has focused on its efficacy in reducing pain and improving bone health when used as an adjuvant to standard calcium and vitamin D supplementation (Calci D).
