Overview
Guishen Huoxue Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily investigated for the treatment of intrauterine adhesions (IUA), also known as Asherman's syndrome. The decoction is formulated based on the TCM principles of tonifying the kidney (Guishen) and activating blood circulation to resolve stasis (Huoxue). It is typically used as an adjuvant therapy following hysteroscopic transcervical resection of adhesions (TCRA) to promote the regeneration of the endometrium, improve uterine hemodynamics, and reduce the risk of adhesion recurrence. The formula generally consists of a combination of herbs such as *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Angelica sinensis*, *Salvia miltiorrhiza*, and *Cuscuta chinensis*, which are thought to synergistically modulate inflammatory responses and fibrotic pathways.
