Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Guizhi Fuling Capsules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product based on the classic 'Guizhi Fuling Wan' formula, which has been used for centuries to treat gynecological disorders. The formulation consists of five botanical ingredients: *Ramulus Cinnamomi* (cinnamon twig), *Poria* (Indian bread), *Cortex Moutan* (tree peony bark), *Radix Paeoniae* (peony root), and *Semen Persicae* (peach kernel). It is primarily indicated for conditions characterized by 'blood stasis,' such as uterine fibroids, endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, and pelvic inflammatory disease. The capsules work by promoting blood circulation, reducing inflammation, and alleviating pain. Recent clinical research, such as the study by The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, has explored its efficacy in postpartum puerperal rehabilitation, focusing on improving uterine involution, managing lochia, and preventing complications like urinary retention and breast engorgement.
