Guizhi Renshen granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation derived from the classic Guizhi Renshen Tang formula, originally documented in the *Shanghan Lun* (Treatise on Febrile Diseases). It is a multi-herbal product typically composed of five primary ingredients: Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guizhi), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhigancao). The granule form represents a modernized delivery system for these botanical extracts. In clinical research conducted by the Henan Province Hospital of TCM, the formulation is evaluated as a supportive intervention for patients with advanced esophageal cancer who are unable to tolerate or have progressed after standard chemotherapy. The therapeutic goal is to improve the clinical benefit rate, enhance immune function, and improve quality of life by tonifying qi and warming the middle jiao.
