Gulong Capsule

Gulong Capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Dong-E E-Jiao Co., Ltd. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other musculoskeletal conditions characterized by joint pain, swelling, and restricted movement (traditionally described as 'wind-dampness obstruction'). The formulation is a complex mixture of animal-derived and herbal ingredients, including *Pheretima* (earthworm), *Scolopendra* (centipede), *Scorpio* (scorpion), *Drynariae Rhizoma* (Gusuibu), and processed *Aconiti Radix*. These components are traditionally used to 'dredge meridians' and 'dispel wind-dampness.' Modern pharmacological research indicates that Gulong Capsule exerts anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, likely through the inhibition of pro-inflammatory mediators and improvement of local microcirculation in affected joints.
