Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gutinib is a novel, orally delivered small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) being developed by KeifeRx, based on technology licensed from Georgetown University. It is designed to penetrate the blood-brain barrier and is intended for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. The drug's mechanism of action involves inducing autophagy, a cellular process that clears toxic proteins, and potentially reducing neuroinflammation and repairing vascular damage, thereby addressing the root causes of neurodegeneration. Gutinib is currently undergoing optimizing and IND-enabling studies.
