Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GV-Flu Seasonal (GEV-001) is an inactivated seasonal influenza vaccine candidate developed by GreenVax. It is designed to prevent seasonal influenza and associated acute respiratory illnesses in both the general population and the elderly (aged 65 and older). The vaccine is produced using GreenVax's proprietary B cell T cell Collaboration (BTC) platform, which utilizes epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)—a natural polyphenol derived from green tea—as an inactivating agent instead of traditional formaldehyde. This approach is designed to minimize damage to the native antigenic structure of the virus, thereby eliciting a more robust and balanced humoral (B cell) and cellular (T cell) immune response.
