Overview

GV-Intranasal (GEV-003) is an intranasal spray influenza vaccine in preclinical development by GreenVax. It is designed to prevent influenza and associated acute respiratory illness, particularly in high-risk elderly individuals aged 65 and older. The vaccine is developed using GreenVax's proprietary BTC (B cell T cell Collaboration) platform, which utilizes green tea-derived epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) as a natural inactivating agent instead of traditional chemical inactivators like formalin. This approach minimizes antigen damage, preserving the native structure of viral antigens to induce a balanced humoral (B-cell) and cellular (T-cell) immune response. Administered intranasally, the vaccine aims to establish a primary line of mucosal immune defense at the site of viral entry.
