Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GV-JEV (also known as GEV-005) is an investigational inactivated vaccine being developed by GreenVax for the prevention of Japanese encephalitis. The vaccine is designed using GreenVax's proprietary B cell T cell Collaboration (BTC) platform, which utilizes epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)—a natural green tea catechin—as an inactivating agent instead of traditional formalin. This approach aims to completely inactivate the Japanese encephalitis virus while minimizing damage to the antigen's structural integrity, thereby enhancing immunogenicity and safety. GV-JEV is currently in the basic research stage of development.
