Overview

GV1001 + HR2822 is a combination of two synthetic peptide vaccines derived from human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT), specifically the sequences hTERT 611–626 (GV1001) and hTERT 540–548 (HR2822). This combination is designed as a cancer immunotherapy to induce immune responses against telomerase-expressing tumor cells. Both peptides are administered intradermally, often with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) as an adjuvant. The mechanism involves stimulating CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses by presenting these peptides via MHC class II and I pathways, leading to targeted cytotoxicity against cancer cells expressing telomerase. Clinical studies have shown that this vaccine combination is immunogenic and safe in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with some evidence of objective tumor response[1][2][3][6]. GV1001 has also been studied in other cancers such as pancreatic, prostate, melanoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
