Overview

GVM+R is a combination chemotherapy regimen developed by the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital in China for the treatment of relapsed or refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). The regimen consists of mitoxantrone hydrochloride liposome (PLM60), gemcitabine, vinorelbine, and the anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab. Mitoxantrone hydrochloride liposome is a nanoparticle formulation of the anthracycline mitoxantrone, designed to enhance drug delivery and reduce toxicity. Gemcitabine is a pyrimidine nucleoside analog that interferes with DNA synthesis, while vinorelbine is a semi-synthetic vinca alkaloid that inhibits microtubule polymerization. Rituximab is added to the regimen for CD20-positive lymphomas to provide targeted B-cell depletion. The combination is currently being evaluated in a Phase I/II clinical trial (NCT05299164) to establish safety and efficacy in patients with various aggressive NHL subtypes, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
