Overview

GW441756 is a potent, selective small molecule inhibitor of the nerve growth factor (NGF) receptor tropomyosin-related kinase A (TrkA), displaying an IC50 of approximately 2 nM and over 100-fold selectivity relative to other kinases. It blocks TrkA-mediated signaling and has been used in research to investigate anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic, anti-migratory, and anti-metastatic effects in various cancer models (including sarcoma, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer), as well as the modulation of NGF signaling in Alzheimer's disease animal models. GW441756 is used exclusively for research purposes and is not approved for human or veterinary diagnostic or therapeutic use[1][2][3][4][5][7][9].
