GW441756 is a potent, selective small molecule inhibitor of the nerve growth factor (NGF) receptor tropomyosin-related kinase A (TrkA), displaying an IC50 of approximately 2 nM and over 100-fold selectivity relative to other kinases. It blocks TrkA-mediated signaling and has been used in research to investigate anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic, anti-migratory, and anti-metastatic effects in various cancer models (including sarcoma, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer), as well as the modulation of NGF signaling in Alzheimer's disease animal models.
