GX-G6

GX-G6 is a long-acting recombinant glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist developed using Genexine's proprietary hyFc fusion technology. It combines GLP-1, a blood glucose elevation regulator, with hyFc, an antibody fusion technology, creating a next-generation biobetter. As a GLP-1 receptor agonist, it mimics the action of the naturally occurring hormone GLP-1, which stimulates insulin secretion, suppresses glucagon secretion, slows gastric emptying, and reduces appetite. The drug's long half-life (62-92 hours) allows for less frequent dosing, potentially once weekly or twice monthly, for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. It has demonstrated good safety and tolerability in Phase I clinical trials with a favorable pharmacokinetic profile.
