Overview

GXV-005 is an investigational small molecule calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) antagonist (calcilytic) originally developed by Takeda and currently being developed by GEXVal. It is part of GEXVal's CaSR franchise, which also includes GXV-002 and GXV-004. GXV-005 is being developed for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), rare genetic cardiovascular diseases, and various forms of heart failure, including acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF), heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). The drug is currently in the Discovery/IND-enabling stage of development.
