Overview

Gyeji-tang is a traditional Asian herbal formula used to treat the common cold, exogenous febrile disease, fever, headache, and inflammation. It consists of five herbs: *Cinnamomum cassia* (twig), *Paeonia lactiflora* (root), *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* (root and rhizome), *Zingiber officinale* (rhizome), and *Ziziphus jujuba* (fruit). Its pharmacological effects include anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties by modulating signaling pathways such as NF-κB and ERK. It has also been studied for its potential in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by reducing airway inflammation.
