Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gynalac is an over-the-counter, non-antibiotic vaginal gel developed by Tyros Biopharma. It is formulated as a combination of DL-lactic acid and sodium hyaluronate, designed to regulate and maintain normal vaginal pH (typically 3.8–4.5) and moisturize the vaginal mucosa. By acidifying the vaginal environment, Gynalac helps reduce pathogenic bacteria and supports the proliferation of protective Lactobacilli. It is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with bacterial vaginosis and nonspecific vaginitis, such as abnormal discharge, odor, itching, and dryness, as well as for preventing the recurrence of bacterial vaginosis and restoring vaginal pH following antibiotic therapy.
