Overview

GZ17-06.12 is a novel, orally bioavailable anti-cancer therapeutic developed by Genzada Pharmaceuticals. It is a proprietary synthetic formulation composed of three naturally occurring compounds: harmine, isovanillin, and curcumin. The drug exerts its anti-tumor effects through a multi-targeted mechanism, including the inhibition of the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) and the Akt/mTOR signaling pathways, as well as the induction of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and apoptosis. Preclinical and early clinical studies have demonstrated its potential in treating various solid tumors, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, glioblastoma, and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, by suppressing tumor growth, metastasis, and the maintenance of cancer stem cells.
