Overview

GZR101 is a premixed dual insulin analog injection developed by Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals. It combines an ultra-long-acting basal insulin (GZR33) with a rapid-acting insulin aspart (Rapilin), designed to mimic the biphasic pattern of physiological insulin secretion with once-daily dosing. The formulation aims to manage both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes, providing stable glycemic control and improving patient compliance by reducing the number of daily injections required. Its mechanism of action is as an agonist at the insulin receptor, facilitating glucose uptake and utilization. GZR101 is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials for Type 2 diabetes mellitus[1][2][4][5][6][7][8].
