Drug intelligence / Profile preview
H-biota Gyntima is an oral probiotic dietary supplement developed by H-biota in collaboration with AB-Biotics (a Kaneka company) for the maintenance of female intimate and vaginal microbiota health. The active ingredient is the patented, human-derived probiotic strain *Lactobacillus gasseri* KABP 064 (CECT 30648). Taken orally, the strain is highly resilient, surviving gastrointestinal transit to successfully colonize the vaginal tract. Once established, it produces lactic acid to restore and maintain a healthy, low physiological vaginal pH, thereby supporting natural defense mechanisms against vaginal dysbiosis and common urogenital infections (such as bacterial vaginosis, aerobic vaginitis, and vulvovaginal candidiasis). It can be used as a daily supplement or as a supportive therapy alongside antibiotic or antifungal treatments.
