Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A split-virion inactivated H1N1 influenza vaccine developed by the Jiangsu Province Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the prevention of influenza A (H1N1) infection. Produced from the reassortant strain X-179A (A/California/07/2009-A/PR/8/34), the vaccine targets the viral hemagglutinin protein to elicit an immune response. It was evaluated in a Phase II clinical trial involving healthy participants aged 3 years and older, testing various dose levels (7.5, 15, and 30 μg) both with and without an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. This vaccine was part of the public health response to the 2009 H1N1 pandemic in China.
