Drug intelligence / Profile preview
H2Oslim is a patented nutraceutical ingredient developed by Gentec Pharmaceutical Group, derived from a water-soluble extract of the white button mushroom (*Agaricus bisporus*). It is specifically designed for weight management and the treatment of obesity by acting as a physical fat binder. The extract contains a high concentration of mucopolysaccharides which, upon ingestion, form a physical polymer matrix in the digestive tract that traps dietary lipids. This sequestration prevents the emulsification of fats by bile salts and their subsequent digestion by lipases, leading to reduced caloric absorption and natural excretion of the bound fats. H2Oslim is marketed as a non-animal, mushroom-based alternative to traditional fat binders like chitosan, boasting a significantly higher fat-binding capacity in vitro.
