Drug intelligence / Profile preview
H2Stem is a liver-derived adult progenitor/stem cell product generated from healthy human liver tissue using Promethera’s proprietary platform, distinct from but related to its lead HepaStem cell therapy. H2Stem cells are characterized by specific biological activities and marker expression that define them as adult liver progenitor cells, and patent disclosures describe their use in pharmaceutical compositions for treating diseases associated with lack or inactivation of liver function, inflammation, fibrosis, or other liver-related pathologies by leveraging their regenerative and immunomodulatory properties.[7][9][11][15] Developed within Promethera’s liver-focused advanced therapy portfolio, H2Stem is positioned as a progenitor/stem cell candidate for severe liver diseases where restoration of liver function or modulation of the hepatic microenvironment is needed, although detailed clinical-stage development has not been publicly reported.
