Overview

H3L1 is a monoclonal antibody targeting coagulation factor IXa (FIXa) under development by Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine for the treatment of thrombosis. It binds with high affinity to FIXa, competing with its cofactor, coagulation factor VIIIa (FVIIIa), to block their interaction and inhibit thrombin generation. In preclinical models of carotid artery and venous thrombosis, H3L1 demonstrated significant antithrombotic efficacy with a low risk of bleeding, and its effects were shown to be reversible by FVIIIa.
